Now this was an interesting one. It was almost cancelled due to severe rain, lightning, and flooding, and we were about to go home, but we managed to find a campsite at Ray Roberts Lake. Searching for a campsite took a while, so the hike was very delayed, although it still managed to happen. It has been said that we were in 3 states that day: the state of Texas, the state of Oklahoma, and the state of Boredom, as we were in the cars for so long. At long last, it turned out ok, and we even managed to get the 5 miles in, over the course of two days. Hope next year has a better climate!
